Dulwich Runners ladies finished second at the South of Thames 5 Mile Cross Country Championships at Morden Park on Saturday.
Elkie Mace made light work of the undulating course to win both individual and team silver.
Clare Elms started strongly and then put in an excellent finish to take fifth with Marta Miaskiewicz in 13th. Belinda Cottrill won a battle with fellow Dulwich runner Tess Bright to be the final A team scorer.
Bright was part of the best B team finish, supported by Andrea Pickup, Michelle Lennon and Ola Balme.
The men also did not look out of place against some of the higher level Surrey League clubs.
Tim Bowen put in an assured performance in 22nd. Steve Davies (32nd) returned from running the Berlin and New York marathons and was first M45 on the day – seven seconds ahead of Jack Ramm (34th).
Jonathan Whittaker helped the team to eighth with a customary sprint finish.
Dulwich’s B team was not far behind. Ed Harper, Tom South, Paul Devine and Tony Tuohy – they finished second behind Kent AC.
