Enjoying al fresco life in Battersea

Revellers made the most of weekend pedestrianisation in Northcote Road, Battersea to enjoy pubs, bars cafes and the joys of alfresco conviviality.

Among those making the most of the initiative was the Northcote Records pub, which offered live music from a five-piece band called the Vibe Architects, to accompany the pizzas and cocktails.

Our picture shows Angelo, a barman at Northcote Records, along with scores of spring-time drinkers making the most of the occasion.

Northcote Road will continue to be pedestrianised at weekends throughout the summer, with the empty road space being made available for businesses to make use of.
