Ethan Chislett reveals goal target for AFC Wimbledon

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

AFC Wimbledon new boy Ethan Chislett is aiming for double figures for goals this season.

The summer addition from Aldershot Town notched nine in the National League in the 2019-20 campaign before it was cut short due to the pandemic.

And Chislett took just 20 seconds to score on his League One bow for the Dons in the 2-2 draw at Northampton at the weekend.

“The target is obviously double figures for a midfielder,” he said. “I know this league is very difficult and so competitive – there is such a lot of games in a short time – but I genuinely believe I can do that this year.

“Having a bit of positive pressure is always a good thing.  My best position is number 10. I do like to get in the box. Having said that, I’ve played deeper to try and get on the ball and build play. I’ve also played almost as a false winger.”
