Everyone Active on behalf of Southwark council launches a new sports session for teens

The Castle Centre, which is operated by Everyone Active on behalf of Southwark council, has launched a new sports session for teens.

The sessions will run every Friday night and will provide a safe environment for the young people of Southwark to have fun, socialise and keep physically active.

The weekly session, which will run from 5.30pm-6.30pm, is aimed predominantly at 12-17-year olds.

The sessions will feature group sports like basketball and football for young people to not only socialise but to put their energy into sports and exercising. Each session will cost just £2.50 per person.

“It is so important to us here at The Castle Centre that young people in our local community know there is a safe place for them to come and have fun” says Everyone Active general manager, Trevor Pardoe.

“We’re really excited to start running these weekly sessions and for people to have the chance to try something new. Everyone’s welcome.”

Young residents can also access the gym and swimming pool for free through the Free Swim and Gym programme.

Access is available anytime on a Friday and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons after 2pm.

For the gym, the centre runs dedicated junior gym sessions.
