Former Crystal Palace midfielder James McCarthy has signed for Celtic on a four-year deal.
The experienced midfielder was released by the Eagles at the end of of the 2020-21 campaign.
The 30-year-old made 49 appearances for the South London club over a two year spell at Selhurst Park.
McCarthy has made 43 appearances for the Republic of Ireland since making his debut in 2010.
Speaking to Celtic’s club website, McCarthy said: “To have signed for Celtic is a brilliant feeling and this is a special day for me and my family.
“I know all about the club, the size of it and all the success it’s enjoyed, particularly in recent years.
“I’m looking forward to pulling on the Hoops, playing at Paradise and helping the team deliver more success to these amazing fans in the seasons ahead.”
