Jonny Williams is back as a Charlton Athletic player – after signing a one-year contract.

The former Crystal Palace midfielder spent the second half of last season with the Addicks but was a free agent this summer.

But Williams joined Charlton for their pre-season training camp in Spain and has stayed with them since their return to the UK.

He is set to gain his first minutes in Saturday’s friendly at Gillingham.
