Former AFC Wimbledon youngster makes Isthmian League Premier Division switch after summer release

Ex-AFC Wimbledon youngster Kwaku Frimpong has joined Isthmian League Premier Division side Carshalton Athletic after he was released by AFC Wimbledon at the end of the season.

Frimpong made his debut for the Dons in League Two under Johnnie Jackson in the campaign just gone, replacing Alex Woodyard in the final few minutes during the 2-1 win at Rochdale in October.

Ex-Crystal Palace youngster Frimpong also scored his first goal in the 3-2 EFL Trophy win against Crawley Town.

The 20-year-old versatile midfielder had loan spells with Potters Bar Town and Metropolitan Police last season.

He was released alongside Dylan Adjei-Hersey, Elliott Bolton, David Fisher, Aaron Cosgrave, Luke Jenkins and George Marsh.
