Former Balham Blazers youngster Fabio Carvalho wins Johnny Haynes Trophy

Fulham attacker Fabio Carvalho has won the Johnny Haynes Trophy for the 2020-21 season.

Academy staff and players aged between 16 and 23 vote for the winner.

Carvalho, who spent time with Balham Blazers as a youngster, scored 11 goals in 13 matches for the Whites’ U23 side.

The former England U18 international, pictured inset, made his Premier League debut at Chelsea in May. And he scored on his first start in the top tier, a 3-1 loss at Southampton later that same month.

Carvalho has scored four goals this season and is yet to lose in 11 Championship outings.

Leaders Fulham, unbeaten in their last nine league fixtures, host second-placed Bournemouth tomorrow night.
