Former England cricketer puts on indoor bowling session at Wimbledon College

Former England international Sajid Mahmood ran a masterclass indoor bowling session at Wimbledon College on Saturday.

The event is the start of a partnership between Merton-based AJ Coaching Cricket Academy and Mahmood to develop and inspire young cricketers between the ages of 11-15.

“The more I’ve been coaching the more I’ve enjoyed it,” said Mahmood. “You get a lot of satisfaction when you see young cricketers developing through you having an influence on them.”

Academy founder Ali Jaffer added: “We’re thrilled to have a former England player visit Merton and inspire the next generation.”
