Fortnightly labour bus can help you find employment

Residents on the hunt for work or job training can kick-start their New Year search on board the Greenwich Local Labour and Business (GLLaB) community outreach bus.

The bus will be touring the borough offering tailored support for out of work residents to get the skills and experience they need to get into permanent employment.

The GLLaB outreach bus is part of the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s commitment to ensuring all residents have access to employment, training or apprenticeship opportunities. People of all ages can get help with their job search, including preparing CVs and interview techniques.

They’ll also be able to find out about job opportunities with local employers.

GLLaB staff will be on board to help at all the locations. Additional information on Business Start–ups and Adult & Community Learning Courses will also be available.

Cllr Sizwe James, Cabinet Member for Transport, Economy and Smart Cities, said: “Our GLLaB team is doing a great job of matching local people with job opportunities and training. The community outreach bus means residents across the borough can get access to the job and training help they need in their neighbourhood.

“Residents can also sign up on our website to receive regular GLLaB updates on training opportunities and employment news.”

  • General Gordon Square, Woolwich, SE18 6HD 10am to 2pm from Tuesday, January 9, then fortnightly
