Hither Green man, 54, to appear in court charged with murdering his father, 81, in Catford on Tuesday

A 54-year-old man has been charged with the murder of his father in Lewisham on Tuesday.

Frank Samuel, 54, of Beacon Road, Hither Green, has been charged with the murder of Arthur Samuel, who was aged 81.

Cops and paramedics were called at 9.45am on Tuesday September 28 to an address two miles away in Burford Road, Catford, and found Arthur with stab wounds. Despite their efforts, he died at the scene.

Frank Samuel is due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 30 September.
