How to find out about policing in Merton – and how to be a cop
Residents can meet their local cops – and ask about becoming a police officer.
Wimbledon Police are holding a four day outreach event at Mitcham Market, Upper Green East, Mitcham to speak to prospective recruits, to meet their local community and to about the concerns of local residents.
Officers from a range of ranks and roles will be there from 10am-6pm outside 51 The Broadway, Wimbledon every day from March 24-27.
Police officers be joined by partners to hear the public’s concerns, and speak to you about a potential new career in the police throughout the four days.
They will be able to answer questions about the job, preventing crime or anything else they might be curious about.
The Met Police is looking to hire people from all sorts of different backgrounds with a wide range of skills and experience to help our community and protect London.
