Injury blow for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze – set to miss a number of weeks

Crystal Palace fear that Eberechi Eze could be ruled out for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury, the South London Press understands.

The Greenwich-born playmaker has started every game under Roy Hodgson this season and bagged his first goal of the season in the 3-2 win over Wolves.

Eze played 88 minutes in Saturday’s 1-0 win at Manchester United before being replaced by Chris Richards.

The 25-year-old was called up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the previous clashes against Ukraine and Scotland but is set to miss the upcoming October internationals against Australia and Italy.

Palace take on Nottingham Forest at home in the Premier League on Saturday evening, with Michael Olise, Dean Henderson, Matheus Franca, Jefferson Lerma and Naouirou Ahamada all ruled out.
