Millwall have announced that they will face German Second Division side VfL Bochum 1848 at The Den on July 28 (1pm kick-off) for Nadjim Abdou’s testimonial.
The Comoros international signed a one-year deal last summer before moving on loan to AFC Wimbledon for the season, where the Dons narrowly avoided relegation. The 33-year-old has re-signed for his boyhood club Martigues this summer but will return to South London for this game.
Abdou made 342 appearances for the club in a 10-year spell after being signed by Kenny Jackett in 2008 and made five Wembley appearances during his time in SE16.
He will forever be remembered for a goal at Elland Road in the League One Play-Off semi-final against Leeds United and has won Millwall’s Player of the Year Award twice.
Only The Barry Kitchener Stand will be open for home fans with tickets priced at £10 (adults); £5 (seniors – over-61) and £5 (under-16s)
