Amy Welch, Principal of Lambeth Academy, said: “We could not be more pleased and proud for our Sixth Formers today as they receive their university offers and begin to take their next steps as adults.
“As staff, our aim is to give each of our students a rich education with character that prepares them for successful lives – with the qualifications, skills and confidence to be the best they can be. It is gratifying to see this ethos reflected in the range and high quality of our Year 13s’ university offers this year, from medicine at Cambridge to the Leeds Conservatoire.
“Alongside congratulating students, it is important to credit our staff whose ambition, encouragement and perseverance has been phenomenal. This is true every year, but has never been more important than over the past 18 months. I know they will all want to join me in wishing our Year 13s the best as they start university and look forward to hearing about all their successes to come.”
