Lee Bowyer can’t shed any light on Andrew Muir’s Valley appearance as takeover talk gathers steam
By Richard Cawley
Lee Bowyer said he was unaware of Andrew Muir’s attendance at Charlton Athletic’s play-off tie tonight – with the Australian’s consortium appearing to be close to a takeover of the club.
Muir went into the club shop before kick-off and bought a scarf which he wore in the directors’ box.
But Bowyer, speaking after the 1-0 defeat to Shrewsbury Town, said: “I wasn’t aware [he was there]. I’ve got no idea and I have got no interest.
“I need to focus on tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday and then I’ll go from there.”
