Advertising Feature: Day Care at Elim House
Elim House was established in 1980. We have more than 40 years of experience in the provision of day care centre facilities, advice, support, community care and activities for Southwark’s elderly Caribbean community.
Although our service users are mainly Caribbean, we also provide support for over 60s of African and other BME heritage.
Elim House is a safe and welcoming place to spend your day. We provide fun activities and caring support for all centre users.
We offer a fully-accessible door-to-door transport service to all users from 9am-4pm on the days we are open – Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
We will also be opening on Wednesdays from the first week of December.
Balanced daily meals of a hot cooked breakfast and lunch are prepared with a selection of fresh ingredients.
We cater to our service users’ specific dietary requirements and adapt our menus to their tastes.
We also provide a meals on wheels service for lunches to some of our past service users.
We run keep fit sessions on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. All classes are adapted to their mobility requirements.
We offer a weekly session of prayers and hymn singing for those members that enjoy faith, and reassurance sessions.
