Croydon XL Comedy Club brings a night of standup heavyweights to Fairfield Halls
An unmissable night of top-tier comedy will land at Fairfield Halls this summer as the Croydon XL Comedy Club takes centre stage.
The show, taking place on June 28, promises big laughs and even bigger talent with a stellar lineup of some of the UK’s finest comedians.
Taking to the stage will be the quick-witted rising star Maisie Adam – known for appearances on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, QI, The Last Leg, and many more.
Joining her is cult comedy icon Angelos Epithemiou, the eccentric alter ego of acclaimed performer Dan Renton Skinner.
Known for his sets on Shooting Stars, The Angelos Epithemiou Show, and a host of TV and film roles, Mr Epithemiou will bring his signature brand of surreal and side-splitting humour to the Fairfield Halls stage.
Also performing is Mark Simmons, the master of the one-liner whose razor-sharp wit has earned him spots on Mock the Week and a regular place in Dave’s Top 10 Jokes at the Edinburgh Fringe, along with sold-out tours across the UK.
The night will be hosted by Aurie Styla, award-winning comic, actor and writer, who has appeared on Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club, Comedy Central Live, and Mo Gilligan’s Black, British and Funny.
Fairfield Halls has long held a reputation as one of South London’s cultural landmarks, playing host to some of the biggest names and brightest rising stars in British comedy.
Over the years, its stages have welcomed comedians at every step of their journey – from Croydon local Nabil Abdulrashid, to 8 Out of 10 Cats’ Jimmy Carr – making it a launchpad for stand-up talent and a much-loved venue for comedy fans.
