Police are appealing for witnesses and any drivers who may have dashboard camera footage after a man was killed when he crashed his car into a tree in Croydon last night.
The 38-year-old man was driving a silver Audi A3 in the direction of New Addington when he crashed in Kent Gate Way. He was pronounced dead at the scene at around 9.30pm.
The man’s next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem will soon be scheduled.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating. They are particularly keen to hear from any drivers who were in Kent Gate Way at around 9.30pm and who may have recorded the events leading up to the collision.
