Man due in court charged with Chelsea murder
A man will appear in court today charged with the murder of James Dowdell who was found dead at a property in Chelsea on Monday evening.
Mohammed Assri, 46, of no fixed abode, was charged yesterday with the murder of Mr Dowdell, who was found with head injuries in St Mark’s Grove.
Police were called to the address at around 6.50pm and the 54-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem revealed the cause of death as strangulation and blunt force trauma.
Assri has been remanded in custody and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today.
