Man stabbed to death in early hours of the morning in Deptford
A man was stabbed to death in the early hours of Friday morning.
Emergency services were called to Bronze Street in Deptford at 3.00am but the man was pronounced dead 32 minutes later.
The attack is said by locals to have started on the north end of Creekside and the victim was chased along that street to the corner of Creative Road, where he died.
A Metropolitan police statement said: “Police were called to Bronze Street, SE8 at 03:00hrs on Friday, 6 December following a report of a stabbing.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a man suffering stab injuries. He was pronounced deceased at 03:32hrs at the scene.
“Next of kin are in the process of being identified.
“Formal identification and a post mortem will take place in due course.
“A crime scene is in place. No arrests; enquiries into the incident continue.
“Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call police quoting CAD 836 / 6 Dec.
