Marco Silva to analyse Fulham’s below-par display at Preston North End

Marco Silva made no excuses after Fulham’s disjointed display in their 1-1 draw against Preston North End at Deepdale on Saturday.

Tim Ream’s first-half finish put the Whites ahead before Ched Evans scored with 20 minutes remaining to give both teams a share of the spoils.

Fulham stayed top of the Championship after Bournemouth relinquished a 2-0 lead at home to Coventry City.

Silva said: “It’s a really tough competition. They made it difficult for us in the second half. It wasn’t the performance we should’ve put on the pitch in the second half. We have to talk about it, analyse it.

“There was a clear lack of energy. I tried to change something in midfield because we were losing so many challenges in that zone.

“The main thing for us is that we do our job well and unfortunately for us we didn’t do that in the second half.

“It’s another point, we played for three. We have to go again. We are getting stronger, it’s important for them to know that if you work hard, you can help decide on matchday.

“We don’t make excuses. We need to analyse on Monday and prepare well for the next one.”
