Marks and Spencers store opens in Streatham

Local residents flocked to Streatham High Road as Marks & Spencer opened the doors of its new foodhall on Wednesday.

Store Manager, Joy McCartney, and her 59-strong team welcomed their new customers into Streatham’s first M&S Foodhall, following a ribbon cut at 10am.

Ms McCartney said: “The team and I have been counting down the days to the big reveal and it was great to see such an impressive turn-out this morning. We are thrilled to become part of the Streatham community and we’re really looking forward to getting to know our customers in the coming weeks.”

Customers Manjit Ubhi and Preet Lote, said: “We love M&S. It’s a privilege to have one open near us. We’ll be coming here regularly.”

The foodhall will also have a Click & Collect service.

  • The best thing that has happened to Streatham for years! And how many towns can boast having not one but TWO M&S’s in the same Road? Can’t wait for the one on the Hill to open next year! THANK YOU M&S for having the confidence to come to Streatham.
