Millwall and Charlton players make latest Northern Ireland squad
Millwall duo George Saville and Daniel Ballard, as well as Charlton Athletic striker Conor Washington, have been named in Northern Ireland’s 25-man squad for their upcoming international games.
Saville has made 31 appearances for his country since making his debut in 2017 in a 3-1 defeat against Germany.
Centre-back Ballard, who signed for the Lions on a season-long loan from Arsenal, has made five appearances for Northern Ireland. He made his debut in a 1-1 draw against Romania in September 2020.
Washington has scored four goals in 29 appearances for his national team, after making his debut in 2016 against Wales.
The Green and White Army take on Lithuania on September 2 in their first FIFA 2022 qualifier before hosting Switzerland six days later on September 8, for their second qualifier. They are in Group C.
In between their two qualifying matches, Northern Ireland will travel to Estonia for an international friendly on September 5.
