Millwall boss confirms Fred Onyedinma loan move is imminent

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Millwall attacker Fred Onyedinma is set to go out on loan before Friday’s loan deadline.

The 21-year-old started Tuesday night’s 3-2 EFL Cup win over Plymouth Argyle.

Lions boss Neil Harris said: “Young Fred will go on loan. He played 60 minutes last night with the thought process that it enabled me to rest players after a busy August.

“But it was also about building up his minutes so he is fit and ready to perform on Saturday for a loan club. Fred has been craving regular first-team football and we look forward to seeing him out playing League One football. We’ll monitor his progress while he is out.”
