Millwall boss happy with young duo’s displays this season

BY ALEX GRACE

Gary Rowett has been pleased with both Billy Mitchell and Danny McNamara this season.

The young Millwall duo were subbed off in the second half of today’s 3-0 loss to Swansea.

Lions manager Rowett said: “I prefer to focus on the team as a whole, because they are young players we have brought through.

“But like any young player that comes into the team they are going to show that bright spark and then every now and then there are going to be moments you’ve got to do better like a senior player.

“I’ve been pleased with them two overall, I didn’t think today was their greatest performance but I have no issue with that either.”
