Millwall boss still hopeful that Tottenham striker back soon

Millwall manager Gary Rowett reckons Troy Parrott will be out for three weeks – but admits it isn’t an exact science.

The on-loan Tottenham striker is sidelined with a quad injury which saw him drop out of international duty with the Republic of Ireland.

Rowett said: “With Troy we’re looking at about three weeks – but these things are quite difficult. It would be fantastic if you could just pick a number and it was exact every time. But of course it’s not.

“He has come in and worked so hard and done a lot of volume. He’s thrown himself into it and is absolutely desperate to come and impact the season for us. He’s tweaked it from a load perspective.

“We hope it’s not too serious.”
