Millwall captain Alex Pearce: Chopper and Livers have already put their stamp on Cardiff City

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Alex Pearce reckons Millwall’s former management team have already made their mark at Cardiff City.

The Lions head to Wales on Boxing Day.

It will be the first time that the South London club have faced the Bluebirds since Neil Harris took charge. He stepped down as Millwall manager at the end of October.

Harris has also taken David Livermore, his number two when he was in charge in SE16, to City.

Pearce said: “It will be great to see Neil. He’s had a fantastic start to life at Cardiff. Looking from the outside it seems he’s had a real impact there going into that group.

“You see them coming from behind [to draw 3-3 with Leeds] and it shows the character in the group.

“We all know Neil and Livers’ character. They’ve put their own stamp on it. For 90 minutes it will purely be business.”
Pearce is paying no attention to the Championship standings.

He said: “It’s still way too early to be looking at tables.

“I just take the next game, keep accumulating as many points as possible and when the new year comes and the games start winding down, then you start to look at it a little bit.

“We’re not even at Christmas yet.”
