Millwall confirm James Brown loan switch to St Johnstone – and recall of Danny McNamara

Millwall defender James Brown has joined St Johnstone on loan – with Danny McNamara heading back to SE16.

We broke the news that right-back McNamara was being recalled by the Lions after an impressive spell north of the border.

And Millwall manager Gary Rowett has softened the blow for his old assistant Callum Davidson, now in charge of the Scottish outfit, by sending them another of his young players.

Brown has regularly captained the club’s U23 side and will be available for Saturday’s match at Dundee United.

McNamara has played 21 matches for the Saints and could get his first taste of action back in a Millwall shirt in Saturday’s FA Cup game against Boreham Wood.
