Millwall defender in hospital as Lions liaise with doctors

BY RICHARD CAWLEY

Shaun Hutchinson is a doubt for Millwall’s match against QPR on Wednesday night – with boss Neil Harris revealing the former Fulham centre-back has been in hospital.

The defender would have been expected to be on the bench for Saturday’s 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.

But Hutchinson did not make the matchday 18.

Harris said at the weekend that Hutchinson was unwell.

“With Hutch we’ll have to wait and see,” the Lions chief told the South London Press this morning. “He’s been in hospital ill.

“He has really struggled and not trained since last week.

“It is just one day at a time with him, we’re liaising with doctors.”
