Millwall defender set for spell on sidelines – but international break set to help him not miss matches

BY ALEX GRACE

Millwall defender Joe Bryan missed yesterday’s game at Birmingham with a groin injury.
The Lions left wing-back was absent from the matchday squad. The Lions drew 1-1.
Murray Wallace replaced Bryan in the side but the Scot also had to be replaced in the second half.
On Bryan’s injury, Millwall boss Rowett said: “He felt his groin on Tuesday, so he’s probably going to be touch and go until the back end of the international break.
“We just seem to be getting those little key crucial injuries, which makes it hard for us to get that continuity that every team wants in that first six or seven games of the season. That’s something we’ve got to deal with.”
