Sid Nelson has signed a 12-month contract extension at Millwall.
The 22-year-old centre-back saw his current terms run out at the end of this month but the Lions had offered him a new deal, meaning he would not have been available on a free.
Nelson had two loans last season. He spent the first half of the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Yeovil Town before heading to Chesterfield at the start of January.
Overall he made 27 League Two appearances.
Nelson has previously had a loan move to Newport County.
