Millwall fan Ted Cheeseman seals British title shot against Asina Byfield
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Ted Cheeseman is set to fight Asina Byfield for the British super-welterweight title – with his promoter Eddie Hearn confirming an agreement is in place.
Bermondsey’s Cheeseman is already one of the leading fighters at the weight domestically and is unbeaten in the paid ranks.
Reading’s Byfield has a 14-1 record.
Cheeseman tweeted: “As all the boys say down @MillwallFC we fear no foe and it wouldn’t matter who would be in front of me on the night the title will be mine.”
Another great UK fight made for the new season.. @Ted_MRFISHER_ v @TeamDGhost for the British super-welterweight title is a done deal! Date coming very soon 👌🏼🇬🇧 pic.twitter.com/4QuFz0GHhh
