Millwall handed injury boost – scan results back for Mason Bennett and Connor Mahoney

Millwall have been handed a boost – with the injuries to Mason Bennett and Connor Mahoney not as bad as initially feared.

Both players went for scans yesterday.

Bennett came off in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Cardiff City with a quad injury – with winger Mahoney sustaining damage in the same area during training on Friday.

It was thought both could be out for extended periods.

But Bennett is expected to be out for around a fortnight with Mahoney now only facing weeks on the sidelines and not months.

The Lions are still assessing Mahlon Romeo, who missed the visit of the Bluebirds with a foot problem.
