Millwall linked with January transfer raid for prolific striker
BY KAI BENNETT
Millwall are reportedly interested in a move for KV Kortrijk striker Pape Habib Gueye.
The 22-year-old has scored six goals in 18 appearances for the Belgian top-tier club this season.
Football Insider are reporting that the Lions are keen on a move for the striker, but face competition from Premier League side Watford.
They adds that the South London club are in the market for a new frontman this month.
Gueye came through the Académie Darou Salam academy before making a move to Aalesunds in 2018.
He scored 25 goals in 55 appearances for the Norwegian side during a year-long spell in Scandinavia.
In 2020 the former Senegalese U20 international moved to Belgium and has helped guide them to eighth in the Belgian Pro League.
