Millwall will hold off making contract offers to any of their shotstoppers until their new goalkeeper coach has provided their input.

Current number one Jordan Archer, David Martin and Tom King have just over 12 months to run on their current terms.

And we revealed that Lee Turner, who quit Charlton recently, is set to replace Kevin Pressman as goalkeeping coach.

“When we discuss contracts with goalkeepers – not just Jordan but Tom and David as well – there is a thought process with the goalkeeper coach,” said Lions boss Neil Harris.

“With a change in the department leadership-wise, it is natural that a new goalkeeper coach will want to review the goalkeepers and give feedback.

“The goalkeepers understand that. We have spoken to them about it and they are quite relaxed about sitting tight for the moment.

“I’ve already spoken about Kingy possibly going on loan and players having to fight for the number one jersey.”

Archer, 25, made his senior debut for Scotland in a friendly in Peru recently. King, 23, spent the second half of last season on loan at Stevenage.
