Millwall start season with Boro at home – and September is tasty as Swansea and Leeds head to The Den
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Millwall start their 2018-19 Championship season with a home game against Middlesbrough.
The two clubs met in the penultimate fixture of the last campaign with a 2-0 defeat at The Riverside ending the Lions’ hopes of reaching the play-offs.
Millwall face Boro on August 4 and then follow with a trip to promoted Blackburn Rovers on August 11.
Three of their first five are on the road with a Den date against Derby (August 18) followed by journeys to Sheffield Wednesday (August 21) and Rotherham (August 25).
The start of September is tasty as Millwall host relegated Swansea City on September 1 followed by Leeds United on September 15.
