Millwall target set for Cardiff City switch
Millwall transfer target Kieffer Moore looks set to sign for Cardiff City – with reports claiming he is set for a medical at the Welsh club.
The Lions were one of a number of clubs to agree a fee for the Wigan Athletic striker.
But Cardiff were always the favourites to land the 28-year-old. Bluebirds manager Neil Harris had bid for the Wales international in the January transfer window and leading their attack would boost his prospects of playing for the national team at next summer’s European Championships.
Moore scored 12 goals in 40 appearances for the Latics. He was available for a knockdown fee of £1.85million due to Wigan – relegated to League One – being in administration.
Millwall have already added Troy Parrott to their attacking options with the highly-rated Tottenham youngster signing on a season-long loan.
And Lions boss Gary Rowett is still determined to bring in another two players at the top end of the pitch.
One of those could be Mason Bennett but Derby would need to rethink the way a deal is structured with the 24-year-old’s loan spell disrupted by injury issues.
