Motorcyclist killed in collision in Mayfair last night

A motorcyclist died after being involved in a collision with a car last night.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses and those with dash cam footage to come forward following a fatal collision in Westminster.

Police were called at approximately 10.55pm to reports of a collision between a car and motorcycle in Gloucester Place, at the junction with George Street, Westminster.

Officers and paramedics tried to save the rider, a man aged in his 40s, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin has been informed.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are leading.
