The frontman of award-winning indie band Foals has opened a new club night in Peckham.
Yannis Philippakis began his regular slot – MILK – at Rye Wax, in Rye Lane, last night (Thursday) despite the fact his band are currently working on their fifth album.
Each live performance will be recorded and pressed onto vinyl, available to those that attend the following event on a first come, first served basis.
He said before the night’s launch: “It will bring together a unique gathering of musicians and individuals to collaborate and improvise live for a totally one-off performance.”
Special guests, to be kept secret until the night of the performance, will also appear.
