Abbey Wood rape in derelict garages prompts Met appeal for public help
Police have released footage of a man they want to identify and are appealing to the public for information following the rape of a woman in Abbey Wood.
An investigation was launched on Wednesday, June 19 after police were informed of a rape that took place in Sewell Road at around 7pm.
The victim was approached by a man who led her into derelict garages in Sewell Road and then sexually assaulted her.
Following a trawl of CCTV from the area, police identified that the suspect had been in the same area on the same day at 3pm.
