Bingo firm donates Easter eggs to Lewisham foodbank

A bingo firm is supporting foodbanks by donating over 20,000 Easter chocolates. 28 foodbanks across the UK.

Lewisham’s food support centre in Hope Centre, Malham Road has been receiving a donation in the week prior to Easter. The chocolate treats consist of Malteser Bunnies and Galaxy Enchanted eggs.

The coronavirus has impacted everyone and communities across the globe are doing what they can to support the more vulnerable.

Carol Bostridge, Project Manager for Lewisham Foodbank, said: “We would like to thank Buzz Bingo for its donation of Easter chocolates. It has certainly been a challenging few weeks for the recipients of our food packages, and for our volunteers. It’s great to know we can offer everyone an Easter treat in these troubling times.”

In line with the latest government advice on social distancing related to Covid-19, Buzz Bingo have temporarily closed all of Buzz Bingo clubs from Saturday 21st March until further notice. Bingo players can still play online bingo and slots at buzzbingo.com.
