Child cyclist taken to hospital in critical condition after bus collision

A child cyclist was taken to hospital in critical condition after a collision with a bus on Tuesday.

Cops on patrol came across a boy on a bike who had been involved in a collision with a bus in Surrey Quays Road, at around 5.30pm.

London Ambulance Service crews, a London Air Ambulance and paramedics in fast response cars were dispatched to the scene.

The boy was treated at the scene before he was taken to a major trauma centre as a priority by ambulance crews.

The child’s injuries, which were critical, have now been assessed non life-threatening. His family has been informed.
