Didn’t they do well : Harris Garrard has reasons to be cheerful after results
Students at Harris Garrard Academy joined thousands of others across the country as they collected their GCSE results this morning – and is celebrating another set of remarkable results with some exceptional individual performances.
Top performers at the school in Yarnton Way, Thamesmead, include Chi Lam Tse (Sam) who overcame a number of personal challenges to achieve six Grade 9s and two Grade 8s; Fahmidah Yeasmin, who has achieved four Grade 9s, three Grade 8s and one Grade 7; and Simisola Eniolorunda, who achieved five Grade 9s, three Grade 7s and a Level 2 Distinction*.
Congratulating the students, Kristen Gringeri, principal of Harris Garrard Academy, said: “As a school community, we take immense pride in all our students’ successes today. There have been some particularly outstanding performances from students who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, academic prowess and a diligent work ethic.
“They are an inspiration to our younger students who will be spurred on by the achievements of this year’s cohort. The Academy’s commitment to fostering a supportive and inspiring learning environment has undoubtedly played a significant role in the students’ accomplishments.”
