E-scooter driver hurt after crash in Peckham High Street
A major road was closed off this afternoon after an e-scooter rider was hospitalised following a collision with a car.
Officers were on patrol when they came across the incident at the junction of Peckham High Street and Mission Place at around 12.15pm today.
They called for support from the London Ambulance Service and paramedics attended. The rider of the e-scooter was taken to hospital. His condition was assessed as not life-threatening.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene. The road was blocked as vehicles were unable to move following the collision, but re-opened around an hour later at around 1.10pm.
Any witnesses are asked to get in touch to help with official enquiries.
