Four people hospitalised after fleeing house fire in Bexley
Four people managed to escape from a house fire in Bexley in the early hours this morning.
Four fire engines and about 25 firefighters tackled the blaze in Lyndon Road, Belvedere.
The ground floor of the two-storey house was partially damaged by fire, the London Fire Brigade said.
Four adults escaped the building before firefighters arrived on the scene. They were all taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
The LFB received a call regarding the fire at around 5.50am.
Crews from Erith, Bexley and Plumstead fire stations brought the fire under control by around 6.50am.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, the LFB said.
