Greenwich keen to make the most of lengthy Thames Path – and is inviting local input
Greenwich council is asking residents to share their views on how they could make the peninsula’s Thames Path better.
The borough is home to the longest riverfront in London, and the local authority wants to make sure it has an accessible and open Thames Path that allows residents and visitors to take full advantage.
The iconic riverside route plays a crucial role in connecting new and existing communities as a potential route for travel or leisure.

The council said: “We’re asking for your thoughts on the Thames Path as part of a review by the council focusing on accessibility, safety, and overall enjoyment of the Thames Path.
“We are looking at improvements to signage, amenities, and infrastructure, on how to create better access to the Thames Path and how the Thames Path can support local businesses and tourism. ”
The consultation is now open until April 21 and is available by logging on to https://thames-path-greenwich.commonplace.is/
Your responses will form the foundation of recommendations put forward by the council’s overview and scrutiny committee to enhance the Thames Path for residents and visitors.
