Krept and Konan visit Brixton school for inspirational assembly
South London rappers Krept and Konan visited a Brixton school yesterday to inspire students with a motivational assembly.
Ark Evelyn Grace Academy in Shakespeare Road, was buzzing with excitement as pupils welcomed the Mobo award winning duo alongside the Mayor of Lambeth, councillor John-Paul Ennis.
During the assembly, students were asked to reflect on what next steps they can take towards their goals and learnt about the importance of mindset and motivation.
Cllr Ennis, the youngest Mayor in Lambeth’s history at 27-years-old said: “Each and every one of you have power, it’s up to you how you use it.”

The special assembly was a timely morale boost for the 400 students, with mock examinations currently underway for Year 11.
Ark Evelyn Grace Academy’s Principal, Una Sookun said: “I’m pleased that our students got the opportunity to hear from successful individuals who come from the local area and embody our school values: ambition, professionalism, perseverance, integrity and community.”
After the assembly, select star students nominated by staff had the opportunity to meet and talk with the Lambeth Mayor, speaker Richard Asomugha and Krept and Konan, with some taking the opportunity to showcase their musical talents.
