Help find culprit who sexually assaulted woman in Brixton
Detectives in Lambeth have today, Wednesday, 28 February, released CCTV footage of a man they want to identify following a sexual assault in Brixton.
A woman in her early 20s, was walking towards Brixton Station on December 31 at 9.30am when she noticed a man following closely behind her.
When the victim reached Atlantic Road, he pushed her against a shop shutter and sexually assaulted her.
The victim managed to push the suspect away and he walked off back up Atlantic Road, turning right into Saltoun Road where he disappeared out of sight.
The suspect is described as a black man, around 5ft 6ins tall, stocky build, aged between 20 and 30yrs with a bald/shaved head and facial stubble.
Detective Constable Ashley Hooker, from Lambeth CID, said: “The victim was subjected to an alarming attack whilst walking during a busy morning where many people were out and about. We need to identify the person responsible.
“We have released an image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with this incident. If you recognise him or you have any information about the incident, please get in contact.”
