Man hospitalised after robbery in Camberwell

Police are searching for witnesses to a robbery which ended with a man in hospital on Sunday.

Police were called at around 1.50am to a South London hospital following reports that a 40-year-old man was being treated for facial injuries after an assault.

The man had been attacked a short time earlier by three suspects in Dagmar Road, Camberwell.

He was punched and kicked in the face, and had his mobile phone stolen.

The victim has since been discharged.

The suspects are all described as black and were wearing balaclavas. They were last seen heading in the direction of Peckham Road.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard the attack.
